We are created for real human connection, enrichment and purpose. Instead, we are succumbing to unnatural, distracted living that is over-loaded with technology, processed food, social media and the empty, unfulfilling pursuit of fake highs. This unnatural living is one giant distraction from how we are created to live. We need to reduce these distractions of unnatural existing and replace them with real life and real purpose.

Our Mission: To mentor youth to live with purpose; to empower youth through funding their leadership projects.

Our Vision: To equip youth with skills to lead, so they can live with a purpose, power and peace that is positively contagious for the world.

Our Model: The 117 Mission attracts aspiring youth leaders, connecting them with proven mentors. The aspiring youth leader and chosen mentor collaborate to follow the unique 117 Mission Mentorship Model with 3 levels…

  • Level 1: The 117MissionChallenge: The youth leader puts his/her phone down for 117 minutes each day for the duration of one week. The time is replaced with purposeful growth-minded activities and self-development from the 117 Mission specific daily curriculum. Youth and mentor check-in daily.

  • Level 2: The 117MissionAcademy: For youth who have already completed the 117MissionChallenge. The 117MissionAcademy is facilitated by a 117 Mission Senior Mentor. This proprietary program is known as “Everything School Isn’t”. You meet 1-1 with your 117 Mission Senior Mentor once a month and with your 117 Mission small group up to 2x a month.

  • Level 3: 117 Mission Blue Ocean Project: You will work with a mentor to draft a written proposal for your Blue Ocean Project; you will also petition the 117 Mission Board, in-person. Ever seen the show Shark Tank? Your experience with the Board would be a less intense version of Shark Tank— more like dolphins in the blue ocean.

Examples of Blue Ocean Projects:

  • Athletic program, athletic team or athletic club experience

  • Leadership club, or any enriching academic, financial or social club that fosters community and enrichment

  • Community improvement projects to public or private space

  • Mission trips or faith-based organized activities

  • Business ideas that benefit community or organizations

1) We reverse the modern pandemic of technology dependence and the resulting strain on mental and emotional health. We fund youth ambition. We mentor youth toward starting community projects, taking a mission trip, entrepreneurship ideas, faith-based initiatives, starting a leadership club, investment club etc…
